International Research Experiences

An opportunity for students to engage in research internationally, collaborate with researchers from diverse backgrounds and gain exposure to different perspectives, methodologies and research environments. An international research experience takes various forms including exchange programs, research internships and community or industry-based placements.

Work Study Program

The Work Study program is an opportunity for current undergraduate and graduate students to work on campus with faculty members and staff to enhance (inter)disciplinary and professional learning. There are over 5,000 positions available each year across both the Fall / Winter term (September to March) and the Spring / Summer term (May to August). 

Summer Research Programs

Summer research programs provides undergraduate students an intensive opportunity to work on a faculty-led research project with their support and guidance. Students participate in, and contribute to, original faculty-led research projects, develop advanced research skills and build relationships with peers and faculty.

Research-Directed Courses

A research-directed course allows students to participate in the research of a faculty member while earning a course credit. It places significant emphasis on research activities as a core component of students’ learning experience providing students with extensive opportunities to learn research methods and engage in research activities with supervision from a faculty member.

Research Assistantships

A research assistantship (RAship) provides a paid opportunity for students to work on a faculty-led research project.
