Engineering Science Research Opportunities Program (Global)

Each year the Division of Engineering Science sends over 30 enterprising EngSci students abroad to conduct summer research at our partner institutions through the Engineering Science Research Opportunities Program – Global (ESROP – GLOBAL).

These placements are arranged by the Division of Engineering Science and allow students to work alongside leading academics at renowned research facilities around the world. Placements are available in a wide range of engineering disciplines at world-leading universities and institutes in Asia, Europe, and North America.

Student Eligibility Requirements:

Open to all EngSci students in Year 1, Year 2 or Year 3 of the Engineering Science program

Domestic Students; International Students.

Availability: Open to all Engineering Science students in Year 1, Year 2 or Year 3 in Engineering Science program.

Research Type(s): Summer Research Programs, International Research Experiences

Location: Dependent on the research the student is participating in.

Hours Involved: Hours to be discussed with research supervisors.

Application Required: Yes. Applications open in early December and close in early January. Students will be selected based on the strength of the research proposal, academic achievement and interview.
